SPFCU Participating in Statewide Day of Kindness

in Newsletter

On Monday, Oct. 11, SouthPoint Financial Credit Union will be joining more than 55 other Minnesota credit unions and partners dedicating a day to give back and spread kindness in their communities.

Staff members from SouthPoint will spend the day volunteering in Sleepy Eye, Springfield, New Ulm, St. Peter, North Mankato, Hutchinson and Waconia. Volunteer activities will range from cleaning parks, walking dogs and cleaning at Humane Societies to stocking shelves at food pantries, highway clean-up and visiting daycares and libraries.

CU Forward Day is coordinated by the Minnesota Credit Union Network, the state trade association for Minnesota’s credit unions.

“As not for profit financial institutions, Minnesota’s credit unions work every day to improve their members financial lives,” said Minnesota Credit Union Network President and CEO Mark Cummins. “The collaborative effort on CU Forward Day is a perfect example of credit unions fulfilling their ‘people helping people’ philosphy.”
